Assistance to crime victims and witnesses is provided through an ongoing state grant.  Program staff serves as a liaison and advocate for the victim/witness from the time of the initial report through the investigative and prosecutorial stages.

Questions concerning case status, judicial proceedings, restitution, and crime victim confidentially are all addressed through this program.

In March 2007 a community volunteer began working with the Victim-Witness program as the Safety Response Liaison.  The SRL volunteer provides resource information to victims of domestic violence, usually within 24 hours of the initial complaint.
